The gravel doctor scarifies the top layer of material and vibrates the sunken stone back up to the surface. It then remixes the stone with the finer particles and meters it out so that the fines are evenly mixed with coarse. This process lends itself to a higher surface tension leading to a longer service life of the repair.

The area is then graded with drainage control as a priority. Primary concern is given to run off including the crown and access to ditching.

Proper camp road and town road maintenance provides many advantages to the taxpayers and camp road owners, not the least of which is that it is cost effective. Erosion control can save you time and money by avoiding unnecessary major repairs. It also means less gravel hauled in each year to resurface the road or repair chronic problems.

We have a long, steep, rutted driveway that we thought would require much new material and expensive, extensive rebuilding.
